PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
North Santa Barbara Charter

Welcome to the North Santa Barbara Charter's website. It is a pleasure to share the charter presidency with Ken San Filippo.  Ken is currently an Assistant Principal at Santa Maria High School and has been involved with ACSA for many years. He currently represents the Region as a member of the ACSA Co-Administrator Committee.  We have worked hard with our board to include meaningful activities for the charter membership. This year's ACSA theme is "Leadership Matters." As we go through 2006-2007 school year, it is important to remember the positive impact that we have on personnel, curriculum and ultimately students in our various programs, schools, and district offices. Our Charter has developed a calendar that will be of interest to all members. We are sponsoring a September Back-to-School Social, a November breakfast celebration recognizing our local Law Enforcement and Community Partners and in February we will sponsor a Classified employee recognition breakfast.   The “Every Student Succeeding” recipient was nominated from our charter and was the Region XIII awardee.  We will continue to acknowledge students who have persevered through difficult times in their life, graduated and continued forward with a positive view towards their future.  Our Charter will also participate in Legislative Action Day activities with other California Regions and charters. Please join the North Santa Barbara Charter in our various activities and the launching of our 2006-2007 ACSA theme, "Leadership Matters."

Sincerely,
Co- Presidents,

Craig Huseth & Ken San Filippo
